Depleted Uranium

The Portsmouth Nuclear Site: New Warmaking Industry #2: Mid-America Conversion Services LLC is slated to make Depleted Uranium for Warfare.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is licensing the company Mid-America Conversion Services LLC to make depleted uranium for warfare.

Instead of properly treating and isolating Portsmouth’s depleted uranium waste (left over from enrichment), the government is planning to use it in tanks, shells, and gravity bombs in places where the U.S. has military conflict.
